Lance Naik M.R. Sahu of Signal Corps 

God willing peace would come soon," Sahu had written to his friend. But death came first. Just three months into active service after completing his training in Goa, 25-year-old Sahu was killed on June 7 in shelling while he was repairing communication lines which were down. Rather than grieve inconsolably, villagers in his native Baniasahi village celebrated the return of their dead hero.
