KOA BOARD RESOLUTIONS
March 8, 2007 TWO MORE RESOLUTIONS PASSED BY KOA BOARD Dear Members,
During last couple of weeks, there were
two more motions that were put before the KOA Board. The two
motions were:
I. Approve Dr. Hira Kaul to continue
as the Coordinator of One Time College Bound Achievement Award
program.
[This Achievement Award program was
instituted last year and will continue to be a KOA Program. The
notification for the applications for this award will be issued
soon.]
II. Allow KOA to write a letter of
support for the World Brahman Foundation Convention.
[World Brahman Foundation is a non-profit
organization and they have used their foras to increase the
awareness about Kashmiri Hindu refugees. They have also raised
funds to help KPs living in refugee camps in Jammu. KOA was
approached by Dr. Rabinder Koul of Chicago/New Jersey for the
letter of support.]
Both the motions have passed and the voting
record is as follows:
Motion I: Approve Dr.
Hira Kaul to continue as the Coordinator of One Time College
Bound Achievement Award program.
Voting Record:
The motion was approved with 11 YES' and
0 NOs.
Motion II: Allow KOA
to write a letter of support for the World Brahman
Foundation Convention.
Voting Record:
The motion was approved with 7 YES',
1 NOs and 3 Abstains.
