KOA Membership Study
HIGHLIGHTS
Records collected since 1990 reveal the following information about KOA membership (using data available to KOA):
- Revenue collected in a single year: Minimum = $5,844.78 in 1992, Maximum = $53,251 in 2016 (primarily due to record number of LIFE members in a single year = 74)
- Total Membership in a single year: Minimum = 207 in 1993, Maximum = 711 in 2005*
* 52 members paid twice in 2016 which was paid towards their 2017 membership. 5 existing members renewed to LIFE membership. Therefore, Total membership paid in 2016 = 665 + 52 + 5 = 722 which broke all time membership record! - During 2015-2016 tenure, as many as 100 LIFE members signed up in the years 2015 and 2016 combined (highlighted rows in Table 3). In 2016, 74 signed up as LIFE members, beating previous record of 26 in 2015.
- Membership and revenue collected generally go up during the years for election of the KOA President (check the numbers for 2004, 2005, 2006, 2016, 2018 in recent years).

Records collected since 1990 reveal the following information about KOA membership (using data available to KOA):
- NOTE 1 for 2005: The number of members provided are deduced from the information available to me until Sept 2005. The numbers in parenthesis represent number of voters.
- NOTE 2 for 2006: The number of members provided are deduced from the information available to me until November 2006. The numbers in parenthesis represent number of voters.
- NOTE 3: In 2015-16, membership dues were increased from $30 to $50 for family membership, and $15 to $25 for single and senior members.

Table 2 displays the distribution Number of members and Membership Revenue collected before and after 2017, whereas Table 3 displays the growth of Life membership over the years (from 2009 onwards when the records were collected).
