An eminent journalist and translator, Sh. R.K. Bharati worked as a teacher. It is said that he had visualised separate homeland for Kashmiri Pandits in an article written in 1960s. His work for Zamindar Association was commendable and yielded some benefits for Kashmiri Pandits which were otherwise denied to them. He was well known for his satirical capabilities and poetry which had Kashmiri folk touch.
